This design features a painting by Ferdinand Hodler (1853–1918). It shows a gentleman holding a fishing rod beside a river; he is engaged in outdoors pursuits, waiting to catch a fish. Two boys are sitting beside him. The man is relaxed and is clearly a confident fisherman. The scene is likely to have been inspired by a location in rural Switzerland. The original artwork was painted circa 1879.
