The Fish Keg Gorgeous Neon Sign Poster
Feel the grease babay! This north side of Chicago fryery has been serving them up by the keg forever. And the last time I checked this gorgeous vintage neon sign was still glowing. During the 1980's I took a couple of hundred Polaroid photos of neon signs in and around Chicago this is one of them. I'm kind of a “nut” for neon signs and think they are one of mans most beautiful creations. They are also a vanishing form of signage that will probably soon be extinct. I have been photographing them in and around the Chicago area off and on for almost thirty years. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
