Gods Ought Not With Anguished Grief To Vex Their Souls" Series: Classical Greek Mythology So about a million years ago, I was a very bored little girl who lived on a horse farm in the boondocks of Ontario, Canada. There are always a boatload of chores to do on a farm - if you don't want to get assigned more chores, then you learn to finish your own up quickly, and then stay out of everyone's hair! If you're underfoot, you're an available resource and you will get more chores assigned to you: a farm is the original "if you've got time to lean, you've got time to clean" environment! So being your average, non-chore-loving little girl, I spent a lot of time hiding up in my room or (even better) out behind the fields in a meadow with my back against a tree, reading. But I ran out of books. Literally. What I did have lots of was Encyclopedias. I found the 'Mythology' entry. *grin* And as you know how at the end of each entry in an encyclopaedia there is a reference section "See Also..." and then a list of other related encyclopaedia entries? Ingenius (well, bored) child that I was, I turned the Encyclopedias into Choose-Your-Own-Adventures books :) This led to an interest in the Iliad and the Odyssey, which happened to be on my parents' shelves....
