The Bath of Venus (c. 1873-1879) by Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones is a vintage Victorian Pre-Raphaelite fine art mythology portrait painting. The mythological Roman Goddess of Love, Venus, with her long flowing hair taking a bath. The beautiful woman is walking down stairs to step into the water. Her musician maidens are around her to help. Some have musical instruments to play music. About the artist: Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones, 1st Baronet (1833-1898) was an English artist and designer closely associated with the later phase of the Preraphaelite movement.

This was exactly what was wanted for my piano crazy grandson! He is self taught & is now having lessons by a top teacher and has been asked to play at various venues in the US!
