"The Amber Room, Catherine Palace, St. Petersburg, Russia" by Catherine Sherman This corner of the fabulous Amber Room at Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo near St. Petersburg, Russia, shows how the many pieces of amber are pieced together to create this marvellous room. The Amber Room is a complete chamber decoration of amber panels backed with gold leaf and mirrors. Created in the 18th century, it vanished during World War II, and was recreated in 2003.

I was a bit disappointed to find that for the price the puzzle was only a small 252 pieces ..... but ....... it is so intricate that if it was bigger I would be frazzled by now bought as a special Christmas jigsaw for work colleagues to play with in our breaks - it is a great way to get the team to collaborate on something fun, and to start conversations between folk, and a great positive opportunity to provide compliments on the effort put in and progress being made the puzzle itself is beautifully made - each piece feels lovely (not a cheap cardboard puzzle) and the shapes are all similar but different Still a work in progress after a week - it's great!!!! a truly lovely thing ... it will come out each year - both at work and at home. great image, and fantastic finish on the pieces
