A spoof movie poster commemorating the return of Thaddeus Stevens in the movie Lincoln. It is a take-off on action hero films with Stevens holding a musket and sporting a Rambo type headband. On the right side is a picture of him punching southern congressmen and saying, "He knocks out southerners with a point of order," which refers to his keeping southerners out of Congress on Dec. 4, 1865. On the left side it says: "Watch him free millions with a single amendment, referring to his role in pushing through the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery. The poster was drawn by Boyd Hetrick, who is available for other work by contacting Ross Hetrick at contact@thaddeusstevenssociety.com

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
