This design contains a beautiful pattern featuring Koch snowflakes of two different colours and sizes; they fit together creating a perfect tessellation. The Koch snowflake (also known as the Koch curve, Koch star or Koch island) is a fractal curve that was first devised by the Swedish mathematician Helge von Koch; it is a continuous curve that does not have a tangent at any point. The Koch snowflake is very interesting to mathematicians, because its perimeter is infinite yet its area is finite, however, its fundamental beauty can be appreciated by absolutely anyone with this simple and elegant design.
