Recently, I learned the sad story of Arbre du T�n�r� - the most isolated tree on Earth (the only one within more than 400 km). I was so touched I could not help making a wallpaper about it! From Wikipedia: It was the last surviving tree of a group of trees that grew when the Sahara desert was less parched than it is today. It was a landmark on caravan routes through the T�n�r� region of the Sahara in northeast Niger � so well known that it is the only tree to be shown on a map. The tree was knocked down by an allegedly drunk Libyan truck driver in 1973. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
