Being deaf in one ear means that you have no depth of sound. It's all coming in through the same hearing channel, so you have no way of knowing its direction either.
Trying to distinguish a voice spoken in the room from one spoken at the same time on the television is impossible. It results in horrible white noise and a head-ache. Not to mention a really irritated partially deaf person.
Wear this badge if you want to subtly remind your hearing companions, even as their magical thinking maintains that if they talk loudly enough, you'll somehow stop having single-side hearing.
