Televising Lunar Liftoff Pitchers
TELEVISING LUNAR LIFTOFF 1971 India ink of the communications gear on the Lunar Rover. It provided front row seats for a global television audience for the first time to see man lifting off from another planet. Before they got into the Lunar Module to return to Earth they parked the Lunar Rover and pointing the camera at the Lunar Module. In the film of the first lunar liftoff, the camera pans up and follows the spaceship as it takes off. Who was operating the camera? A technician at mission control on Earth sent a signal to the camera telling it to pan up and it had to be timed just right as it takes several seconds for a signal from Earth to reach the Moon. ABOUT THE ARTWORK Moon Man Publishing, the exclusive publisher of the collection of James Burns artwork, reveals the lunar landing and exploration in a way never before seen by the public. James Burns was the illustrator for RCA’s engineering team and worked with Sam Scalone, RCA engineer and father of Moon Man Publishing's founder. James created these drawings for the top secret meetings with NASA where NASA then decided to approve or not approve the funding to build the equipment you see in the artwork. The outcome of these meetings and James's drawings determined how man would go to the Moon, the equipment they would use, and how they would create the communications equipment allowing the world to witness man’s first steps on the Moon. James has been honoured by NASA with a dedicated page in the Apollo Lunar Surface Journal where you can see some of these very same drawings. Simply Google search "James Burns NASA" to confirm the authenticity of this artwork. This collection of art was drawn BEFORE man ever went to the Moon and BEFORE the equipment seen in the drawings that they took to the Moon was even made yet! This is unique and rare collection of art that is now available to the public for the first time since man first landed on the Moon! Signed numbered limited edition museum quality Giclee prints on 100% cotton paper are available exclusively by contacting Moon Man Publishing. Unlimited edition issue are available here on Zazzle in a variety of sizes and products.
