Tapestry Trio of Old London

This is a unique set of interesting scenes from old London. The first is from the two paphlets produced as a result of the introduction of Coffee Houses in London. The Petition Against Coffee Houses was sent to Charles II on behalf of the women, claiming that coffee caused impotence and idleness in men: there is the response sent to the king, by the men, right next to it. The second scene is a woodcutter map of the Southbank, the area immediately south of the river. It is depicted around the time of Shakespeare and shows amphitheatres and gardens. Scene three is a close up of the bear baiting amphitheatres on Shakespeare's Southbank. The trio are an ideal buy for an airbnb in London, or for someone with a sence of history.
