"Tail of Mossy Gold" - I love this painting - this was the one I began painting as a demonstration piece at the Sarasota Mediaeval Fair 2011. We were right by the jousting tournament - very exciting place to paint! We were also right by the ocean, so I decided to paint a mermaid - of course! So - for those of you who came out to watch me paint - this is what she ended up looking like. I like her tail especially - all mossy green & gold. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
