Tahitian Landscape, Mountains in Tahiti (1891) by Paul Gauguin is a vintage post impressionism fine art nature painting featuring the wilderness of Tahiti. Beautiful blue skies and white fluffy clouds on a sunny summer day. A native man is walking along a path towards the mountains and palm trees. About the artist: Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin (1848-1903) was a leader in the Post Impressionist movement which extended Impressionism while rejecting its limitations. They used vivid colours, thick application of paint, distinctive brushstrokes and real-life subject matter, but were more inclined to emphasize geometric forms and to use unnatural or arbitrary colour.
