c. 1480 Oil on panel, 120 x 150 cm Museo del Prado, Madrid One of Bosch's earliest known works. The seven deadly sins is painted on a rectangle with a central image representing God's all seeing eye. In the four corners, are "Four Last Things: mentioned in mediaeval spiritual books. Namely: Deathbed, Last Judgement, Heaven and Hell.
In the centre each section depicts one of the seven deadly sins. Anger, shows jealousy and conflict. Pride shows a demon showing a mirror to a woman. Lust shows 2 sets of lovers. Idleness, a woman dressed for church waking a sleeping man. Gluttony shows a feast. Avarice displays a judge being bribed. Envy shows 2 dogs with one bone not agreeing with each other.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
