This artwork is a reproduction of the famous poster "Divan Japonais," painted 1893 by the famous French artist, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was a famous Post- Impressionist painter, lithographer, and illustrator, who documented the Bohemian night life of the Montmartre section of Paris, focussing on the Rouge and other dance halls, along with the theatre and the circus. "Divan Japonais" shows the dancer Jane Avril, seated with the critic Eduard Dujardin who are watching a performance.
