Swimsuit Calendar 2021

This calendar was created by disabled model, Syanne Centeno-Bloom, after being turned down from modelling jobs solely because she is a wheelchair user. The purpose of this calendar is to show that people with disabilities are fully capable of modelling in the fashion industry. Many brands profess to be inclusive but fail to include the largest and most marginalised minority in the world-- the disabled population. We must include people with disabilities ALL of the time, and with more than one or two in a large group of models. Accessibility won't improve if disabilities aren't normalised. Discrimination against the disabled won't end if the mainstream media doesn't make an effort to include us and show us in our true and honest form. Our disabilities are nothing to hide. "Disability" is not a bad word. We are only disabled because of the restrictions society places on us, not because of the conditions we have. We are consumers of fashion and beauty too and thus deserve the same opportunities as models without disabilities and visible differences. All proceeds of this calendar to benefit the charity, Models of Diversity, an organisation that works tirelessly to change the face of fashion and promote diversity and inclusion.
