Sweet Sugar Skull With Pink Bow Ceramic Ornament

This is one of my favourite designs! I created her digitally and used almost every colour at my disposal, well almost. I've worked on many mandalas this year. I really enjoy using dots and layers and layers of small colours that build into a image a sense of complexity. The lines that you see are hand-drawn using a stylus - I prefer to do this rather than use perfect lines. I like to see my hand in the work that I do. This image has my imperfect hand as well as the symmetry afforded by a mirror. This skull is one of many I made this year (2013) - I'll be adding those for sale soon.
