They must have been less than a week old, but already so capable!
Swimming is easy enough. every mallard knows how to swim from the day of hatching. But they were so quick, and it was such a delight to see them jump up high and try to catch an insect.
Another thing that made me laugh was to see them run on the water. It was so different from watching the impressingly large and heavy swans doing the same thing. No thunder now, just a little splashing.
There are two texts on the front side: 'Born yesterday' and 'Mallard ducklings less than a week old'.
