The sun sets magnificently over cacti in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. This photo was taken while on a hike on the Massacre Grounds Trail in the Superstition Wilderness. Getting to this trail is fairly easy. The entrance is just a little ways down a dirt road on the left that leads to the First Water Trail. This road is on Route 88, the Apache Trail, just past the entrance to the Lost Dutchmans State Park. The Superstition Wilderness is loaded miles with trails ranging from easy to difficult. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
