On a summer day in the forest the greens are so vibrant they almost glow! I feel like dancing with joy. Everything is so very alive! And yet after a good hike, napping on a nice flat rock, looking up through the vibrant leaves couldn't feel sweeter. The wildflowers bake in the midday sun lending a fragrant scent to the woods, and if I'm lucky a gentle breeze will blow and create music through the trees.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
