Stylised Goldfish, Dog and Frog Card

This peaceful setting has a sleepy dog resting near a pond with elegant goldfish and irises. A friendly frog looks back at the dog. This painting is done by my mother in a style that's called "Tu-Aunqua" which involved designing on tissue paper, transferring the design onto silk fabric backed by paper and then painted in oil. The colours dry to a flat matte appearance. The term tu-aunqua, from a 1971 exhibit brochure, may have been a rough phonetic translation of "labour table painting" from Chinese.

A beautiful card. Highest quality materials and print. Misunderstood the explanation of the gold accent. I took it as the design would be metallic in its appearance. Still a lovely card and I am extremely happy with it overall. Perfect, only that I expected the gold to be metallic.
