I’ve heard that you’re supposed to run downhill to get away from bears, the theory being that a bear would likely stumble if it tried to run downhill because its front legs are shorter than its back legs. Of course, bears can run 35 miles an hour, so regardless of whether it’s uphill or down you’re trying to run… good luck!
