Stork and Young Woman - Art Nouveau - Jugend Poster

This rare and wonderful image was the cover art for the 1921 No. 9 issue of Jugend Magazine, the famous German weekly publication century that launched the German Art Nouveau movement known as "Jugendstil," which means "youth style." The magazine was started in 1896 by journalist George Hirth, one of the most influential thinkers in Munich at the turn of the 19th century. It was widely popular and featured the key artists of the Art Nouveau era. This image shows a giant stork standing next to a young woman, with a yellow ribbon connecting them. This image has been restored by us. It has been retouched where faded, and colours have been enhanced to the way we imagine it originally looked. It is available as a poster or a canvas print.
