Alas, this pin arrived the day after Ruth died. I’d already been wearing a mask with multiple pics of the Justice, but I chose this because it is dignified, straight of rather than simple, and the little phrase “I dissent” just about sums up her life. It also reminds me of my duty to dissent in the face of evil. I couldn’t wear it for awhile.so I put a sticker in the corner saying RIP. It’s back on my shirt now—a Philosophy For all time and a roll model for women for generations to come. It conveys both dignity and courage. My hero is depicted with her Ruffled Class.
