Stilleven VI: Het Portret ART PRINT pop surreal
"Stilleven VI: Het Portret" - painted for the Orlando Museum of Art's "Going Baroque" exhibit - the sixth in a series of works I have planned that feature "deconstructed" elements of still lifes inspired by the Dutch master painters of the 1500-1600s, along with lovely girls, faeries & nymphs (of course!). Stilleven is Dutch for "Still Life" and "Het Portret" means "The Portrait". A lot of fun details in this one, all popular elements included in famous Dutch still lifes - some of the flowers are specifically based on Jacob van Walscapelle's floral still life (which was part of the Orlando Museum of Art's "Golden Age of Painting" exhibit shown concurrently with the "Going Baroque" event). I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
