still life mixed vegatables on chopping board art

This original still life image was painted in soft pastel, the bright shades and various hues that can be found in soft pastel really bring out the amazing colors of this delicious serving of mixed vegetables. I came to produce this painting of red and green peppers, carrots, courgettes,onions and other veg on a chopping board as a tongue in cheek alternative to the typical still life painting of a “bowl of fruit” which I was asked to paint as part of an art course I was working on, I named the painting “Not A Bowl Of Fruit." This still life image makes a great original blank art card and can be sent on all occasions or as a note card, I think it will be especially welcome by someone who loves to cook, maybe a chief, or who loves to eat, or maybe someone who simply likes quirky art.
