Still Life, Frozen Holiday Card

Downtown Prescott's first snowy night of the season. My fingers were freezing and it was hard to keep my lens dry, despite using a lens hood, as I was trying to angle a little bit upward and the snow was really blowing. I am glad the statues were patient! This particular set of statues is one of several that surround the courthouse building downtown. With the falling snow, it almost appears as if the soldier is seeking refuge under his horse. Prescott is also known as Arizona's Christmas city, and if you have ever visited the town during the holidays, it would likely not be surprising that the honour was bestowed upon it. Any time of year, however, Prescott, full of natural and scenic beauty, exudes its own unique charm, not quite found anywhere else.
