Steppenwolf Orangutan Orphan Coffee Mug

Orangutans are sweet natured animals to begin with, but orangutan orphan Steppenwolf is particularly charming. The photographs are from the OFI Care Centre in Kalimantan, Indonesia. One photo shows Steppenwolf relaxing in the rain forest during his daily jungle play time. The other shows him with his gentle playmate Melly, another rescued orphan. Purchases of this mug support OFI's ongoing conservation work, started by Dr.Birute Mary Galdikas when Louise Leakey selected her as one of his three women to study the great apes along with Jane Goodall and Dian Fossey, who both went to Africa for chimpanzees and mountain gorilla studies, respectively.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
