People tend not to give them a lot of respect for various reasons, cough cough, plumbers crack.. ahem... But being a plumber is hard. You have to get yourself in tight places, on your knees a lot of the time. And then its the sheer confusion of what pipe goes where and how you fix it without disrupting the rest of the building. The plumber is the hero when your toilet reverses itself.
