L is for Light Bulb Every so often an invention comes along that totally changes the world. The first light bulb was invented by Humphry Davy in 1800. Later on Edison figured out how to mass produce this device, he also added the thing on the bottom that is called an Edison Screw, it allows one to screw it into a light socket. There was a time when everyone relied on candles to light their way. The light bulb has come a long way since then, compared to today, but we still use them.

I bought this clock as a gift for my husband for our 50th wedding anniversary. The first one went missing in transit so Zazzle ordered a replacement which arrived quickly. It's a lovely clock and I'm sure will look beautiful on the wall when we eventually hang it on ANZAC Day. The printing is lovely.
