Linsley-Chittenden Hall at Yale University
A well known Yale patron funded the building of Linsley-Chittenden Hall at Yale University in the memory of his daughter. He commissioned Louis Tiffany to create this beautiful window for the new building. Tiffany made four sections for this window, art, music, science, and religion. Tiffany always sought to elevate the Industrial Arts through constant pursuit of beauty and refinement. So he composed this beautiful "visual sermon" in keeping with the donor's values. This beautiful stained-glass window makes us realise how important education is in our civilisation and the arts and science play a large role.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
