St. Varnava Barnabas Nastic Orthodox Icon Jigsaw Puzzle

St. Varnava Barnabas Nastic was an early 20th century Serbian Orthodox Church bishop who protested against the communist regime's persecution of the Orthodox Church in his area after World War 2. Because of this, he was imprisoned, tortured and jailed. Due to a series of circumstances, he was confined to house arrest in his monastery. He became a spiritual leader, especially for youth. The Communist authorities continued to harass him. Despite this, St. Varnava Barnabas continued to live life as an ascetic and urged his guards to come to Christ. He had such a positive influence on them, the authorities were forced to change the guards frequently.
