Daffodils are among the first flowers that grow after the snows go, early in April. They appear, almost overnight, on sunny lawns, grassy slopes and gardens, enthusiastic and vigourous, reaching for the sun! Daffodil or narcissus, also known as Lent Lily, jonquil or daffadownlily, bring blessings of beginnings, harmony, creation and the energy of the sun. They're members of the amaryllis family Amaryllidaceae.These sun worshippers can range in colour from bright to pale yellow, white, orange, or a combination thereof. These pictured have light to medium yellow ruffled interiors and white petals, with a couple of green leaves.
