"Awake! Awake! The spring has come, And this is Easter Day." From the cosy cradles Where they've slept and grown, Out into the sunshine Butterflies have flown. Out of tiny houses Breaking through the shell, Little birds are coming, Nature's choir to swell. Some vintage sheet music from 1901 with a song about Easter and springtime is illustrated with a butterfly, a chick hatching from it's eggshell and a caterpillar on a twig.
