SPACE MISSION DOG ASTRONAUTS JIGSAW PUZZLE

A funky Vintage style Puzzle, with a retro Space Age commemorative Soviet envelope, featuring Belka and Strelka, "Day of Cosmonautics", Kharkov 1963. The two astronaut dogs spent a day in space aboard Korabl-Sputnik-2 (Sputnik 5) on August 19th 1960, before safely returning to earth. They were accompanied by a grey rabbit, 42 mice, 2 rays, flies and a number of plants and fungi. All passengers survived. They were the first Earth-born creatures to go into orbit and return alive. Turned this into a lockdown activity with my partner for our anniversary. I got the 110 pieces since neither of us are big on puzzles. It's was just one of the nice little fun activities we did together. Probably took 30 minutes all up. We're gona frame it and keep it as a memory. The quality of the print was fine. Our teeth look like they stick out a bit just due to the the shape of the pieces around our teeth. But no problems.
