Even on a hazy day, you can see forever. A million-dollar view of some of the Southern Gulf Islands from the top of Mount Galiano. The dragonflies were as thick as thieves at the highest point of Galiano Island, and 2-3 Turkey Vultures coasted 30-40 feet above our heads. We even witnessed a small (trio) of orca whales passing by. Not a bad reward for a relatively easy hike! Photographed in early July 2017. Based on the original photography of W.H. Sim. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
