About This Design

Someone Is Always Awake Poster

Someone Is Always Awake Poster

A stark nocturnal tableau rendered in high-contrast black and white, this framed print captures the quiet tension of sleepless hours. A solitary figure stands in shadow, gazing towards a single illuminated window where another presence lingers—absorbed, alert, unreachable. The handwritten thought bubble, “Someone is always awake.”, transforms the scene into a meditation on insomnia, surveillance, and unseen connection. With its graphic, almost noir-like aesthetic and restrained use of warm light, this piece evokes both intimacy and unease, making it a compelling statement for modern interiors drawn to narrative-driven, contemplative art.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning! The print is precise, clear and of an excellent standard. It was cleverly packaged so there wasn’t a blemish or crease. Perfect!
