A lone biker rides the hard packed sand of Fort Myers Beach, Florida, at dawn. A flock of willets ignore him as they search for their breakfast in the surf.
My husband and I bought used bikes to ride while we visited this beach, because there was a trail in the sand between the surf and the dunes that was very hard and easy to ride on. You do need to watch out for festoons of sea weed, piles of sea shells and many people shelling and sunbathing. It's best to avoid the shore birds, too, so you don't disturb them.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
