Solar Eclipse Wall Clock
This is a quartz wall clock featuring an image of the solar eclipse of 8/21/2017. The photo was taken by me using a TMB 115 F7 triplet apochromatic refractor in Niota TN. You can see several prominences. Because it was taken during totality, no filter was required. The camera was a Sony A7II.
Total eclipses are rare events. You need to be in exactly the right place at the right time. I drove over 1000 miles one way and took over 1500 photos to document this eclipse. This photo is my favourite. It would make a great gift for anyone who is into space or astronomy. I've got my solar eclipse clock in my family room.
