Smith Chart Explanation Diagram Laptop Sleeve

Most basic use of an impedance Smith chart. A wave travels down a transmission line of characteristic impedance Z0, terminated at a load with impedance ZL and normalised impedance z=ZL/Z0. There is a signal reflection with coefficient Γ. Each point on the Smith chart simultaneously represents both a value of z (bottom left), and the corresponding value of Γ (bottom right), related by z=(1+Γ)/(1-Γ).

I gave several of these 10" sleeves as Christmas gifts this year, I was a bit nervous about what the image was going to look like when I ordered them and I placed my order in at the last minute. I was very happy with the results of the printing and color and most importantly the arrived on time and they were a hit as gifts. I created this image along with many others but I had not seen the final product until I decided to give them out as Christmas gifts and I was blown away at the quality of the printing and colors, they were more than I thought it was going to be.
