Slingerland Coat of Arms Mug
The Slingerland Coat of Arms on this mug is a photograph of the original which is made of wood. The original was purchased at auction in Amsterdam, Holland on February 16, 1896 from Frederick Muller & Co. with a description of "Von Slingerlandt Ecusson en bois seulpte; de sable a deux faces bretessees et contrebretessees d argent, 28x28 centimetres" or "escutcheon of carved wood; black with two silver es bretessees and counter-bretessees"
We believe this was purchased at auction by William H. Slingerland. The letter accompanying this Coat of Arms is signed by Geo. W. Siclen, founder of The Holland Society of New York.
All proceeds from this sale will be used towards the restoration and preservation of the Slingerland Family Burial Vault by the Friends of the Slingerland Family Burial Vault.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee.
Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
