The picturesque white Sletterhage Lighthouse with a red roof stands close to the shore, overlooking a pebble beach where people are gathered on a sunny day. Many have cameras and binoculars to watch and photograph the ships and sailboats that pass by. The surrounding landscape includes rolling hills and trees, creating a serene ambiance about the place. Cattle graze on the hillside above.
Sletterhage Lighthouse is located in Denmark on the southern tip of the Djursland peninsula protruding into the Kattegat between Denmark and Sweden at the entrance to the Baltic Sea. The concrete lighthouse was built in 1894 to help guide ships to and from the Port of Aarhus, via a shipping lane that passes close to the lighthouse isthmus. The lighthouse buildings are open to the public and used for exhibitions. Visitors can access the lighthouse tower in summer.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
