Skeleton Summoned by Witch, woodblock print by Utagawa Kuniyoshi These are 2 sheets from a triptych by Kuniyoshi. The complete triptych shows the witch Takiyasha, daughter of Taira no Masakado, calling up a monstrous skeleton to frighten Mitsukuni. Utagawa Kuniyoshi (ca. 1797 - April 14, 1861) was one of the last great masters of the Japanese ukiyo-e style of woodblock prints and painting and belonged to the Utagawa school.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
