What if electric trams still exist in Singapore? I was inspired to do a piece on it after listening to an oldie sung by Pan Wan Ching (1960s). Somehow the song’s mention of bells reminded me of the electric trams in Hong Kong. In actual fact, trams ceased operation in 1927 in Singapore where they were taken over by motorised buses. “明明是冷冷清清的長夜 為什麼還有叮叮噹噹的聲音 聽不出是遠還是近 分不出是夢還是真 原來是一串鈴 打亂了我的心 窗外不再有淒淒切切的幽靈 只聽到喜鵲兒齊鳴 今夜的狂風吹來了第二春 又把消沉的夜鶯吹醒”

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
