Silver Indian Birds on Blue Sari Pattern NeckTie

I've long been jealous of the colours, patterns and textures that the Indian women I've known all my life got to wear, some of them seeming to never repeat the same Sari in the same year. I was also struck that nowhere is men's clothing more lacklustre when compared with women's than when the man is dressed in standard western suit and tie and the woman is resplendent in a 9-foot-long cocoon of multi-coloured silk. In an attempt to level the playing field, surely breaking a taboo I remain blissfully unaware of, I adapted sari patterns to the Necktie, and have never received as many compliments as when I wear them. n.b.: Spelling is Saree in India, and Sari in the US and UK.
