From www.railphotoexpress.biz The Shore Fast Line began service in 1906,using The Pennsylvania Railroad Tracks through the centre of each town. The Shore Fast Line was an electric interurban railroad running from Atlantic City, New Jersey, to Ocean City, New Jersey, by way of the mainland communities of Pleasantville, Northfield, Linwood and Somers Point. The line ran from 1906 until 1948. The company that operated the Shore Fast Line was called Atlantic City and Shore Railroad. The Atlantic City Quakers who helped develop the Monopoly board game named one of the railroad squares for the Shore Fast Line.Charles and Olive Todd, who taught the game to Charles Darrow, its eventual patentee, shortened the name on their oilcloth board to Short Line.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
