About This Design

Shepherds Keep Watch Nativity Poster

Shepherds Keep Watch Nativity Poster

Shepherds and their flock rest by a small fire on a quiet hillside as a soft break of light opens through the clouds, with one star waiting on the far horizon. This original painterly fresco has a chalky limewash surface in lapis night, warm honey, olive hills and soft clay, so the first Christmas night feels still and reverent rather than glittering. Hang it above a mantel or console, or in an entryway, dining room or prayer corner, from Advent through Epiphany. It pairs with Holy Night Stable as a Nativity set. Also available as an instant download for printing at home. A thoughtful Christmas gift for a faithful parent, grandparent, godparent or pastor.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning! The print is precise, clear and of an excellent standard. It was cleverly packaged so there wasn’t a blemish or crease. Perfect!
