Shadows of Noir Tie

Why did I take the case? It wasn’t her polished black 5 inch heeled shoes with the black lace fringe. Nor her black stockings that seemed to cling to her long, toned and defined legs that rose …nor the skirt that played on her hips as she sat and crossed her legs. No it was not the white shirt that was partially pulled out as if it were trying to get some air from the heat, not the sleek jacket nor the black laced fingerless gloves which revealed red nails that matched her bright red lips that seemed to flash in the dim light like a neon sign or the cigarette that dangled from them just beyond a black veil that seemed to cascade from her hat. No it was none of that. It was the one thing a man can’t say no to. The one thing that completes any cheap suit he throws on- it was her tie- the tie that hooked me. The tie that made me take the case.
