Sen. Robert Kennedy Campaigning for US President Poster

Robert F. Kennedy: A Life of Justice and Ambition, with Complexities Born in 1925, Robert "Bobby" Kennedy was the seventh of nine children in a powerful Irish Catholic political family. While overshadowed by his older brother John F. Kennedy (JFK) early on, Robert carved his own path, becoming a relentless and effective force in American politics. --- From Campaign Manager to Attorney General: --- Robert's political career began by managing JFK's successful campaigns for Senate and President. Their relationship was both competitive and supportive. Robert admired JFK's charisma but also harboured his own ambitions. Once JFK took office, Robert became Attorney General, the youngest person to hold the position at the time. --- There, he established himself as a tenacious leader. He cracked down on organised crime, leading to a surge in convictions. Some criticised his methods as overly aggressive, but his effectiveness was undeniable. He also became a champion for civil rights, using the power of Justice Department to push for voting rights and desegregation. --- Senator and Hopeful: In 1964, Robert was elected Senator from New York. He continued his advocacy for social justice, speaking out against poverty and inequality. He also became a vocal critic of the Vietnam War, a stance that resonated with a growing anti-war movement. --- A Life Cut Short: In 1968, Robert saw an opportunity to fulfil his own presidential ambitions. He entered the Democratic primary, carrying the torch of his brother's legacy and offering a message of hope in a nation divided by war and social unrest. --- Tragically, his campaign was cut short. On June 5th, 1968, Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated in Los Angeles, California. His death sent shockwaves through the nation, extinguishing a flame of possibility in a tumultuous time. --- A Legacy of Passion and Progress: Despite his short career, Robert F. Kennedy left a lasting impact. He is remembered for his unwavering commitment to justice, his fierce advocacy for the downtrodden, and his willingness to challenge the status quo. His life story is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and the fight for a better America.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning! The print is precise, clear and of an excellent standard. It was cleverly packaged so there wasn’t a blemish or crease. Perfect!
