Season's Greetings - de Havilland DH3-C Otter Glass Tree Decoration

A de Havilland Canada DH3-C Otter, sporting the logo of mythical Flying Moose Aviation of Talkeetna, in flight somewhere over Alaska on an overcast day. Text reading "Season's Greetings" appears in glowing blue and white. The Otter, originally intended to be known as the King Beaver, was conceived as a larger, more capable follow on to highly successful Beaver. The Beaver referred to by de Havilland as a “half-tonne truck;” the Otter would be the “one-tonne truck.” The Otter was used by the military forces of many countries and is also popular in with skydivers; it can be found in many drop zones throughout the world.
